Lest We Forget Short Film
“Lest We Forget” is a short film and a collection of digital fine art prints designed by Scott Green. Modern-day aerial footage filmed with a DJI Mavic Air 2 drone, combined with CGI and VFX, giving it a unique cine film look and feel.
The works were designed to commemorate the fallen men of Oldham and Saddleworth during the World War. 3D Lancaster Bombers, Spitfires, tanks and poppy petals combine with the imagery shot from the skies above Pots & Pans war memorial overlooking Uppermill, Greenfield and Saddleworth.
The grassy hills have been given a blood-red appearance using special infra-red filters that symbolises the millions of lives lost in battle in the surrounding villages, towns and cities.
I developed the theme into this series of high-resolution digital fine art prints with artwork taken from the film, bringing pleasure, meaning and beauty to the walls of Saddleworth.
